What it is

The tile tamper is a tool with a striking surface that rests on the newly laid tile to bed it into the adhesive and eliminate voids; manual and motor-driven or cordless models are available.

What it is for

Used for laying large-format slabs, where handling and flatness are the challenge, for floor laying, from the screed to the finish and for laying tiles and slabs, from spreading the adhesive to grouting.

How to use it

Rest the surface on the clean tile and tap, or let the tool work, from the centre towards the edges. Check with a spirit level that the tile is flush with its neighbours before the adhesive sets. Keep the surface clean of adhesive and residues and replace the rubber parts when worn.
