Biorete - Case Study 2 (Pasini) — Example of the use of coconut biorete as anti-erosion protection. PG-BIONET is an ideal net for the surface protection of substrates subject to erosion. In this intervention, a 700 g/m2 coconut biorete was planned to be placed as anti-erosion protection, over which a double-twist wire mesh was fixed as a mechanical reinforcement element. The design choice was to first position the biorete fixed at the top, then unroll it gently so that it could adhere perfectly to the substrate, protecting it from surface erosion, and only lastly was the wire mesh, reinforced by a metal rope grid, positioned and fixed.
