What it is

The DeWalt DCF622NT-XJ drywall screwdriver is an XR 18 V cordless tool supplied as a bare tool, ideal for those who already own batteries and chargers from the DeWalt system. It delivers an output power of 850 W with a no-load speed of up to 2000 rpm and a maximum torque of 34 Nm, values optimised for precise screwdriving. It is fitted with an LED light to illuminate the work area and weighs 1.5 Kg.

The drywall screwdriver is a cordless screwdriver with a depth adjuster, often with a collated strip feed that brings the screws into position one after another.

What it is for

Used for repetitive screwdriving into wood, metal and plasterboard, where torque and consistency matter, for fixing into plasterboard and lightweight partitions and for installing plasterboard partitions and suspended ceilings.

How to use it

Set the depth so that the screw sinks into the board without breaking the paper facing. Load the strip of screws, rest the screwdriver perpendicular and press until it stops. Check from time to time that the bit is not worn, and wear safety glasses.
