Impact driver 18V XR - Body only DeWalt DCF887NT-XJ

What it is

The DeWalt DCF887NT-XJ impact driver with a 1/4" hex drive is the bare-tool version of the XR 18 V range. It delivers a maximum torque of 205 Nm and an output power of 280 W, with 3 working modes, a speed of up to 3250 rpm and an impact frequency of up to 3800 blows/min. With a height of 195 mm, a length of 134 mm and a weight of 0.9 Kg, it is compact and easy to handle; it is fitted with an LED light and CE marking.

A hex-drive impact driver is a cordless driver that, under load, delivers rotary impacts to drive long screws and bolts without twisting the wrist.

What it is for

Used for repetitive screwdriving into wood, metal and plasterboard, where torque and consistency matter, for assembly work and for tightening nuts and bolts where torque must be accurate and repeatable.

How to use it

Insert an impact-rated bit, tougher than standard bits, into the drive and select the mode or speed suited to the job. Hold the tool in line with the screw and release the trigger as soon as the head is seated, to avoid stripping or snapping the screw. Where a precise torque is required, complete the tightening with a torque wrench.
