Universal Expansion Anchor PTB M16 x 210, DeWalt DFM1110830

What it is

The PTB DeWalt DFM1110830 universal expansion anchor is an M16 mechanical anchor, 210 mm long, one of the longest versions in the M16 range. It is designed for high-strength fixings in base materials of particularly great thickness, where both a heavy section and a deep embedment are needed. The expansion mechanism provides a progressive, stable grip.

Heavy-duty fixings are steel or reinforced nylon anchors that carry high loads in concrete and solid masonry.

What it is for

Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.

How to use it

Drill with a bit of the specified diameter to the required depth, then clean the hole with a brush and blow-out pump. Insert the anchor through the part to be fixed, hammering it in if necessary, and tighten the nut with a torque wrench to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Observe the minimum edge distances and spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
