What it is

The DeWalt DT20717-QZ blade is a tungsten carbide accessory for multi-tools, designed specifically for removing mortar. It is designed to work on joints and grooves with a minimum gap of 3 mm, so that it fits into the narrowest gaps between tiles or masonry elements.

Multi-tool blades are toothed blades, scrapers and diamond or carbide blades that fit the oscillating tool for cutting, scraping and grout removal.

What it is for

Used for light demolition, chasing and localised removal, for preparing surfaces before treatment and for cutting clay bricks and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the blade to suit the material and the tool mount (Starlock, OPEN-LOK or universal) and fit it with the tool switched off. Rest the blade on the workpiece before starting and let the oscillation do the work without pressing. Replace blades with worn teeth; when working on mortar and tiles, wear safety glasses and a dust mask.
