What it is
The DeWalt DT3112-QZ abrasive disc, Ø 125 mm diameter and grit 60, is supplied in a pack of 25 pieces for intensive use with a random orbital sander. Grit 60 offers material removal that is still vigorous but controlled, suited to roughing and levelling surfaces before the finishing passes.
Sandpaper is an abrasive in sheet or disc form, often hook-and-loop backed, for fitting to sanders or backing pads to sand wood, metal, paint and filler.
What it is for
Used for sanding surfaces before painting, for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish and for sanding wood before varnishing or finishing.
How to use it
Choose the same shape and hole pattern as the backing pad, so that the holes line up for dust extraction. Start with a coarse grit (low number) and move to finer grits up to the finish without skipping too many steps. Sand with light pressure, keeping the machine moving, and change the sheet when it is clogged or worn smooth.
