Flat flap discs DeWalt DT3308-QZ

What it is

DeWalt DT3308-QZ flat flap discs have a disc diameter of 125 mm and are designed for angle grinders in grinding and finishing operations on metal. Grit 36 places them among the most aggressive abrasives, ideal for fast material removal and for removing welds, burrs and rust. The flat configuration is suited to work on flat surfaces, where it provides even contact. The pack contains 10 discs.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
