What it is

The DeWalt DT4921-QZ is a supply of 10 metal drill bits with a diameter of 3.2 mm in HSS-Co cobalt-alloyed high-speed steel, a material that offers better heat resistance when drilling steels. Each bit has a working length of 36 mm and a cylindrical tri-flat shank, which ensures a stable hold in the chuck and reduces slipping during work.

How to use it

Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
