Cobalt HSS-E drill bits 9.5mm loose x10 DeWalt DT4941-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT4941-QZ is a supply of 10 metal drill bits with a diameter of 9.5 mm in cobalt high-speed steel, with a cobalt cutting edge designed to withstand the high temperatures of drilling steels. Each bit has a working length of 81 mm and an overall length of 125 mm, sizes suited to drilling substantial thicknesses with a controlled feed.

A metal drill bit is an HSS, cobalt or coated twist drill for drilling steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and plastic with a drill or drill driver.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
