What it is

The DeWalt DT8930-QZ is a full-head drill bit from the XLR series with an SDS-Plus shank, designed for drilling concrete with professional rotary hammers. The diameter of 10 mm and the working length of 200 mm allow deep holes to be made with precision. The carbide head with 4 cutting edges ensures a constant feed, while the reduced-vibration feature ensures better control of the tool.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
