What it is

The DeWalt DTM8675-QZ is a universal abrasive mesh from the Extreme line for random orbital sanders (ROS), with a disc diameter of 150 mm and an aggressive 40 grit, designed for roughing and fast material removal. The mesh weave promotes dust extraction across the whole surface of the disc, containing clogging and maintaining constant performance over time. The pack comprises 5 pieces.

Orbital and random orbital sander abrasives are paper or cloth discs and sheets, with hook-and-loop or clamp fixing, and the backing pads they fit onto.

What it is for

Used for sanding surfaces before painting, for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish and for sanding wood before varnishing or finishing.

How to use it

Choose a disc or sheet with the same shape and hole pattern as the pad and centre it so that the extraction holes line up. Start with a coarse grit and move to finer grits up to the finish. Sand with the machine flat, light pressure and continuous movement, and change the abrasive when it is clogged.
