What it is

The DeWalt Premium DWHT0-36114 tape measure is a pocket-sized measuring tool with a 5 m tape and a blade width of 32 mm. The wide blade gives good rigidity when extended, which is useful when you need to measure a cantilevered span without support, making readings quick and accurate in everyday measuring.

A tape measure is a retractable steel measuring tape with an end hook and lock, for measuring lengths on site and in the workshop.

How to use it

Hook the end of the tape over the edge of the workpiece or butt it against a surface: the sliding hook compensates for its own thickness in both cases. Extend the tape taut and straight, lock it and read the scale looking at it square-on. Guide the tape back as it retracts without letting it snap back, and keep it clean of mortar and moisture.
