A cable tie is a toothed nylon strip with a ratchet head, tightened around cables or pipes to bundle and secure them.

What it is for

Used for wiring control panels and installations, for general-purpose fixing into masonry, concrete and timber and in the installation and maintenance of residential and industrial electrical systems.

How to use it

Pass the tail through the head and pull until the bundle is tight, without strangling the cables. Cut off the excess flush, so as not to leave sharp edges. For outdoor use, choose black ties, stabilised against UV rays. Releasable ones can be opened and reused.
