Backing pads with foam Fervi PME125/18M14

What it is

The Fervi PME125/18M14 foam backing pad is a flexible support for abrasives, designed for sanding and finishing surfaces, including curved or irregular ones. The foam layer, 18 mm thick, offers controlled give that allows the abrasive to conform to the profile of the workpiece, reducing the risk of marks and scratches. The M14 thread ensures direct mounting on the most common angle grinders.

A backing pad is the support disc fitted to a sander or grinder that holds sanding paper, fibre discs or polishing pads.

What it is for

Used for sanding surfaces before painting and for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish.

How to use it

Choose a backing pad with the same diameter, fitting and dust extraction holes as the machine and discs. Fit it with the machine stopped, apply the abrasive with the holes aligned and work flat without forcing, so as not to overheat the hook-and-loop face. Replace it when the hook-and-loop no longer holds or the pad is deformed.
