Polyurethane backing pads Fervi PPS150/29M14

What it is

The Fervi PPS150/29M14 polyurethane backing pad is a flexible support of generous thickness, 29 mm, designed for sanding and finishing shaped and large surfaces. The high give of the polyurethane allows the abrasive to follow the profile of the workpiece closely, for an even, mark-free result. The M14 thread ensures direct mounting on common angle grinders.

A backing pad is the support disc fitted to a sander or grinder that holds sanding paper, fibre discs or polishing pads.

What it is for

Used for sanding surfaces before painting and for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish.

How to use it

Choose a backing pad with the same diameter, fitting and dust extraction holes as the machine and discs. Fit it with the machine stopped, apply the abrasive with the holes aligned and work flat without forcing, so as not to overheat the hook-and-loop face. Replace it when the hook-and-loop no longer holds or the pad is deformed.
