What it is

The Fervi P023/08.20 straight-shank twist drill bit offers a Ø 8.2 mm diameter and is built to DIN 338/N, a reference standard for professional twist drill bits. The 135° point angle promotes immediate centring on the workpiece, while the manufacturer-declared hardness of HV 770-830 supports its durability over time. The straight shank simplifies fitting on bench and hand-held drills.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
