Hinge drill bit with carbide tip Fervi 0087/35

What it is

The Fervi 0087/35 carbide-tipped hinge boring bit is a specific tool for making the recesses for concealed hinges. The working diameter is Ø 35 mm, while the Ø 8 mm shank allows it to be fitted in common chucks. The carbide tip on the cutting edges ensures durability and wear resistance, for clean, well-calibrated housing holes.

A wood drill bit is a brad-point, auger, spade or Forstner bit that drills clean, accurate holes in solid wood, panels and chipboard.

How to use it

Place the centre point on the mark and start at low speed; always use large-diameter spade and Forstner bits at reduced speed. To avoid breakout, rest the workpiece on a piece of scrap wood or finish the hole from the opposite side. Use extensions for deep holes, locking them by tightening the screw firmly.
