What it is
The Fervi T009 arched probe holder is a connecting accessory for measuring instruments, which allows the probe to be mounted stably and in the position best suited to the inspection. It has a Ø 8 mm male fitting and a Ø 4 mm female fitting, to interface with compatible dial indicators and probes. With a weight of just 0.09 kg it is extremely light and adds no significant bulk to the measuring system.
Magnetic and cross-slide bases are supports that hold workpieces or instruments steady on the bench or machine: magnetic chucks for steel parts, dial indicator stands and adjustable cross-slide tables.

Used in quality control of parts and workmanship and for measuring on site and in the workshop.
How to use it
Clean swarf and oil off the contact surface before switching on the magnet with the lever, checking that the workpiece is ferrous and sitting flat. Position and lock the dial indicator stand before zeroing the instrument. Bolt cross-slide tables to the machine table and adjust them with the handwheels; at the end of the job, switch off the magnet and protect the surface with a light film of oil.
