Universal combined filter for full-face mask also for mercury and CO Carvel

What it is

Universal combined filter to be fitted on a full-face mask, for environments with contaminants of different kinds. It covers organic vapours with a boiling point above 65 °C, inorganic gases and vapours, sulphur dioxide, ammonia and derivatives, dusts, fumes and mists. Compared with the multipurpose FIM203, it adds protection against mercury vapour and carbon monoxide.

The respirator filter is the cartridge or disc that fits on the half mask or full-face mask to retain dust, gases and vapours. There are particle filters, gas and vapour filters and combined filters, recognisable by their code and colour.

What it is for

Used as personal protective equipment in hazardous work and for respiratory protection against dust, fumes and vapours.

How to use it

Choose the filter according to the substance present and its concentration, checking the code and class on the filter and on the safety data sheet. Click or screw it into the mask connection, check that the seal is in place and carry out the fit test. Change it when you notice odours or tastes, when breathing becomes laboured or when it has expired; opened filters are stored in a sealed bag away from damp.

Safe use

Check the expiry date before fitting it and, for mercury and carbon monoxide, follow the directions for use in the technical data sheet. Dispose of the used filter as waste contaminated by the substance it has retained.
