What it is

The Fischer SDS Plus and SDS Max shank bits are drilling accessories with an SDS Plus / SDS Max coupling, compatible with professional hammers and rotary hammer drills. The line belongs to the Fischer Bits and Inserts range, with certified Italian production at the Padua, Italy plant.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
