What it is

Galvanised or stainless steel wire rope, with turnbuckles, rope clips and thimbles, is used to make tie rods, bracing, fencing and tensioned lines.
What it is for
Used for anchoring to walls, ceilings and floors and for general-purpose fixing into masonry, concrete and timber.
How to use it
Cut the rope to length, form the eye around the thimble and close it with rope clips, fitting the saddle on the live side of the rope. Hook it to the fixed points and tension it with the turnbuckle, locking it once adjusted. Check the tightness of the clips and the condition of the rope periodically; these components do not replace certified ropes for lifting or fall arrest.
