What it is

A waste fitting is the connector fixed over the drain hole of a sink or washbasin that carries the water to the trap; it may have a plug or a strainer, as in the pop-up waste or the basket strainer waste.

Used in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
How to use it
Insert it into the sink hole with the gasket, tighten it from underneath with the nut and connect it to the trap. Check that the seal does not leak. Clean it from time to time of hair and debris to prevent the drain from clogging.
