What it is
The PRESIDENT 500 MMA inverter welder (code 58600) by Awelco is designed for professionals who require precision and stability in stick electrode welding. Ideal for workshops, building sites and industrial applications, this machine combines versatility and robustness to meet a variety of technical needs.
A stick (MMA) welder is a power source that melts a coated electrode to weld steel, stainless steel and cast iron; it is used with electrodes, cables and connectors.
What it is for
Used in steel fabrication, from cutting to assembly and in welding and the work that goes with it.
How to use it
Connect the earth clamp to the clean workpiece close to the joint, fit the electrode in the electrode holder and set the current according to the type and diameter of the electrode. Strike the arc by scratching the electrode on the workpiece and travel with a short arc and constant angle; at the end of the bead, remove the slag with a chipping hammer and wire brush. Store electrodes in a dry place and work with a welding helmet, gloves and welding clothing.
