Adhesive Sealant SiMP Fix Clear Crystal, NPT Sigill

What it is

SiMP Crystal is a clear, one-component elastic SiMP (Silyl Modified Polymer) adhesive and sealant. It cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture to form a high-performance compound with permanent elasticity and high resistance to ageing and weathering. Free from solvents and isocyanates. Application areas: SiMP Crystal is a versatile, high-performance clear adhesive and sealant for a range of uses in interior finishing, construction sealing, furniture assembly or general industrial work where a clear bond or seal is needed. Suitable for transparent parapets on bridges and balconies, waterproofing joints in transparent roofing and between door and window frames, mirror and glass. Ideal for DIY in a completely transparent pack.

Sealant is a paste product, in cartridges or tubes, that fills and seals joints and gaps, either remaining elastic or curing hard (silicones, polyurethanes, acrylics, hybrids, construction adhesives).

What it is for

Used for waterproofing roofs, terraces and below-ground structures, for structural and assembly bonding and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.

How to use it

Clean and dry the joint edges, insert backer rod if needed and mask the edges with masking tape. Cut the nozzle at an angle to the width of the joint, extrude the product with the gun in a continuous bead and tool it with a wet spatula before it skins over. Remove the tape immediately and allow the full curing time before stressing the joint.
