Gotcha Suspension Loop To support and alleviate the discomfort of a conscious injured person while suspended on the pole awaiting rescue. (SpanSet — Recovery and Evacuation) — Temporary Suspension Aid - The Gotcha Suspension Loop is a rescue aid to alleviate the effects of "post-fall harness suspension" while the victim awaits recovery. It will only work for people suspended in a full body harness, less than 4m from their anchor (maximum deployment of a fall arrest lanyard). Inside the bag is an adjustable webbing loop that the suspended person can stand in. The Gotcha Suspension Loop is first attached to the anchor from which the victim is suspended. The loop is then deployed from the bag and lowered to the victim. The strap is then adjusted so that the injured person can stand in the loop to relieve pressure from the harness and move their legs. The Gotcha Suspension Loop is designed so that a team of workers can carry one and hang it in the workplace where it will provide coverage for all of them. Alternatively, on major sites, it can be placed next to similar emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers or first aid equipment so that it can provide coverage for all workers in that area. The Gotcha Suspension Loop does not replace the rescue of a suspended injured person, but it will be an excellent part of any rescue solution. The Gotcha Suspension Loop is not classified as PPE and therefore does not require a CE or UKCA mark. Furthermore, there are no relevant European standards to test it, so we have evaluated it for its intended purpose and tested it to demonstrate this. The product is manufactured according to SpanSet's ISO 9001 quality assurance procedures. The assembly has been statically tested to demonstrate a minimum breaking strength of 160 kg. The Gotcha Suspension Loop has also been field tested to ensure it is practical and effective.
