What it is

The 3D laser scanner captures a point cloud with a laser beam, for quickly surveying rooms, buildings and surfaces; it can be fixed on a tripod, handheld or drone-mounted.

What it is for

Used for laser measurement of distances, heights and areas, for taking measurements and levels in the field and for topographic surveying and site setting-out.

How to use it

Set it up stable on the tripod or, with handheld models, hold it and follow the planned route. Start the scan and move to other positions to cover all areas. The data are processed with dedicated software. Do not look directly at the laser beam.
