What it is for
Used for safe access to excavations, for work at height, where access and restraint must be ensured for the whole job and for maintenance at height on plant, roofs and facades.
How to use it
Before use, check the feet, steps and locking devices; open a stepladder fully, with the spreaders taut, on a stable surface. Set a leaning ladder at an angle of about one in four and make sure it extends beyond the landing point.
