Pin hinge black zinc-plated, rustic style, Unifix

What it is

This is a hinge pin with a 10 mm diameter pin, galvanised and black, in a rustic arte povera finish, from the Unifix catalogue. The pin is the fixed part onto which the eye of the hinge strap mounted on the door leaf is slipped, and the door turns around it. The black rustic-style finish recalls traditional ironmongery; it must be matched with straps whose eye suits the 10 mm pin.

The hinge is a pivoting element for doors, gates and leaves, with a pin to be fixed to the frame and a part on which the leaf turns.

What it is for

Used for woodworking in the joinery shop and for fixing into timber, from assembly work to carpentry.

How to use it

Choose it according to the weight and size of the leaf and the frame material. The pins for a leaf are all fitted on the same vertical axis, plumb, so the leaf swings without binding. Fix with screws or through bolts, or weld onto steel frames, and grease periodically.
