A ball valve is a shut-off device with a drilled ball inside the body: turning the lever or butterfly handle a quarter turn opens or closes the water passage.
What it is for
Used in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
How to use it
Fit it on the pipe with sealed threads, in the direction and position indicated, and choose the connection (female-female or male-female) that suits the fittings. With the lever parallel to the pipe the valve is open; across the pipe it is closed. To keep it moving freely, operate it from time to time, even if it stays open for long periods.
