Modular safety cabinet for flammable liquids with spill sump Carvel

What it is

Yellow RAL 1021 steel cabinet for keeping flammable liquids on the shop floor or in the warehouse, separate from everything else and under lock and key. Each shelf acts as a containment tray and is height-adjustable, while at the bottom a leak-tight sump with rubber seals collects any leaks. The three grilles with flame arrestors, two on the sides and one on the roof, are for natural recirculation or connection to an extraction system. Available in two widths, 575 and 1075 mm, and two heights, 1100 and 1850 mm.

Cabinets and lockers are metal or plastic units for storing clothing, tools and cleaning products and, in safety versions, hazardous substances such as acids and drums.

What it is for

Used for workplace safety, as equipment required by the safety plan and for the orderly storage of materials and equipment.

How to use it

Stand them on a level floor and fix tall, narrow units to the wall or floor to prevent tipping. In safety cabinets, keep incompatible products apart, for example acids and alkalis, observe the shelf load ratings and check the spill sump. Keep the doors closed and entrust the keys to designated staff.

Safe use

Connect the earthing cable supplied and store only closed, labelled containers. Any liquid collected in the sump must be disposed of as waste according to the substance spilled.
