Rotary hammer 18V - bare unit DeWalt DCH273NT-XJ

What it is

The DeWalt DCH273NT-XJ is an 18 V cordless rotary hammer with SDS-Plus connection, offered as a bare unit. It develops a no-load speed of 0 to 1100 rpm and offers a drilling capacity in masonry of up to 24 mm, with declared capacities of 13 mm in metal and 26 mm in wood. With a weight of 2.5 kg and compact dimensions – 301 mm long, 202 mm high and 85 mm wide – it is handy and well balanced. The declared vibration values are 6.6 m/s² in drilling and 5.4 m/s² in chiselling. It is a battery-powered tool.

A rotary hammer drills concrete, masonry and stone by combining rotation and percussion, with an SDS-Plus, SDS-Max or compressed-air connection.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Use a detector to make sure there are no cables or pipes at the drilling point. Insert the clean, greased bit until it clicks, set the depth stop and select the operating mode. Drill with the tool held square to the surface using both hands, withdrawing the bit from time to time to clear the dust, and wear safety glasses, a dust mask and hearing protection.
