What it is

The DeWalt DCW200P2-QW is a 1/4-sheet orbital sander from the XR 18V platform, supplied as a complete kit. Cordless and weighing just 1 kg, it ensures fine, even sanding with maximum operator comfort, even during the longest jobs. Its light weight and compact size make it easy to control with one hand and on vertical surfaces.

An orbital or random orbital sander is an electric, cordless or air tool that oscillates an abrasive pad to sand wood, paint, filler and metals.

How to use it

Apply a disc of the appropriate grit to the hook-and-loop pad, lining up the holes for dust extraction, and connect a dust extractor or collection bag. Rest the sander on the surface before starting it and move it in criss-cross passes, letting the weight of the tool do the work. Work through the grits progressively, from coarsest to finest, wearing a dust mask.
