What it is

DeWalt FRAMID-PRO DFM3540430 long frame plugs are through-fixing systems for the stand-off installation of frames and window and door units. With a length of 160 mm, they are designed to pass through considerable thicknesses and anchor the profile to the masonry even over large stand-off distances, with the countersunk head allowing flush mounting.

Heavy-duty fixings are steel or reinforced nylon anchors that carry high loads in concrete and solid masonry.

What it is for

Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.

How to use it

Drill with a bit of the specified diameter to the required depth, then clean the hole with a brush and blow-out pump. Insert the anchor through the part to be fixed, hammering it in if necessary, and tighten the nut with a torque wrench to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Observe the minimum edge distances and spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
