What it is
DeWalt FRAMID-PRO DFM3540460 long frame plugs are through-fixing systems for the stand-off installation of frames and window and door units. With a diameter of 10 mm, a length of 230 mm, countersunk head and galvanised finish, they allow the profile to be anchored to the masonry through particularly large thicknesses, with flush mounting thanks to the head that sinks in. The pack contains 25 pieces.
Heavy-duty fixings are steel or reinforced nylon anchors that carry high loads in concrete and solid masonry.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Drill with a bit of the specified diameter to the required depth, then clean the hole with a brush and blow-out pump. Insert the anchor through the part to be fixed, hammering it in if necessary, and tighten the nut with a torque wrench to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Observe the minimum edge distances and spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
