Angled flap disc DeWalt DT3257-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT3257-QZ angled flap disc is a flap abrasive for angle grinders, intended for grinding and finishing metal. Grit 80 places it among the fine grits, suited to refining surfaces and achieving a more even finish after the more aggressive operations. The pack comprises 10 discs, a practical size for professional use.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
