Extreme spade bit DeWalt DT4793-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT4793-QZ Extreme spade bit is intended for drilling wood and has a 35 mm diameter and a 406 mm length. The extra-long version makes it possible to drill deep, through holes of large section, ideal for routing pipes and conduits through beams and substantial structures. It is supplied as a single bit.

A wood drill bit is a brad-point, auger, spade or Forstner bit that drills clean, accurate holes in solid wood, panels and chipboard.

How to use it

Place the centre point on the mark and start at low speed; always use large-diameter spade and Forstner bits at reduced speed. To avoid breakout, rest the workpiece on a piece of scrap wood or finish the hole from the opposite side. Use extensions for deep holes, locking them by tightening the screw firmly.
