Titanium bit, 3 mm, for impact driver, DeWalt DT50000-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT50000-QZ drill bit is designed for use on impact drivers, as indicated by the impact rating that distinguishes it. Made of titanium-coated HSS (HSS-TiN), it has a diameter of 3 mm, a working length of 33.5 mm and an overall length of 65 mm, with a self-centring pilot-type point and a quick-change hex shank.

How to use it

Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
