Titanium bit, 5 mm, for impact driver, DeWalt DT50007-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT50007-QZ drill bit is made of titanium-coated HSS (HSS-TiN) and has an impact rating for use on impact drivers. With a diameter of 5 mm, a working length of 33 mm and an overall length of 78 mm, it offers a self-centring pilot point and a quick-change hex shank.

What it is for

How to use it

Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
