Half abrasive sheet with hook-and-loop, 10 holes DeWalt DT8550-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT8550-QZ abrasive sheet is a half sheet with hook-and-loop fastening and 10 holes for dust extraction, available in grit 60. The coarse grit is suited to rough sanding stages and fast material removal, while the perforation helps clear debris and extends the life of the abrasive. The pack contains 10 sheets.

Sandpaper is an abrasive in sheet or disc form, often hook-and-loop backed, for fitting to sanders or backing pads to sand wood, metal, paint and filler.

Used for sanding surfaces before painting, for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish and for sanding wood before varnishing or finishing.

How to use it

Choose the same shape and hole pattern as the backing pad, so that the holes line up for dust extraction. Start with a coarse grit (low number) and move to finer grits up to the finish without skipping too many steps. Sand with light pressure, keeping the machine moving, and change the sheet when it is clogged or worn smooth.
