What it is

With a diameter of Ø 7.5 mm, the Fervi ST2A07.50 taper-shank twist drill bit is designed for drilling precise holes in metals in professional machining. The 118° point angle promotes a good balance between axial thrust and hole quality, while the 700-740 HV hardness contributes to the wear resistance of the cutting edge. Compliance with DIN 345 ensures compatibility with standardised taper shanks.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
