Radial drill Fervi TR01/180

What it is

The Fervi TR01/180 radial drill is a large industrial drilling machine, where the motorised radial arm makes it possible to reach any point of the workpiece without moving it. It drills cast iron up to 40 mm and S235JR steel up to 32 mm with a pilot hole, with continuous drilling up to 28 mm and an MT 4 Morse taper. The 6 spindle speeds, from 75 to 1220 rpm, and the automatic feed at three values (0.1 – 0.16 - 0.25 mm/rev) ensure controlled machining; the spindle stroke is 220 mm and the spindle-to-column distance is adjustable from 350 to 870 mm. The 1.5 kW main motor, the 0.55 kW arm elevation motor and the 40 W coolant pump all run on 400 V. The weight is 1050 kg.

What it is for

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in the vice, or fix the magnetic base to clean steel; never hold the workpiece by hand. Fit the bit in the chuck and tighten it firmly, set the speed according to diameter and material and drill with a steady feed, using coolant on metals. Wear safety glasses, no gloves near the chuck, and keep sleeves and hair tied back.
