Sealing tape Multi Tape Fischer

What it is

Fischer Multi Tape is a self-expanding sealing tape made of polyurethane foam for the joints between window frame and masonry. On its own it covers the three levels of the joint: vapour barrier and airtightness on the inside, thermal and acoustic insulation in the centre, driving-rain tightness on the outside. It complies with UNI 11673-1, is tested to DIN 18542 (BG1/BGR) and is UV resistant. This version is for joint widths from 5 to 10 mm and has a shelf life of 12 months.

Sealing tape is a thick self-adhesive tape, in butyl, bitumen or with aluminium foil, that seals joints and overlaps of membranes, sheet metal and frames, making them airtight and watertight.

What it is for

Used for insulation work and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.

How to use it

Clean and dry the substrate, removing dust and grease, and work at a temperature that is not too low. Lay the tape without stretching it, remove the protective film and press it down firmly with a small roller along its whole length, especially at the edges. At joints, overlap the lengths by a few centimetres, and avoid UV exposure for types not suited to outdoor use.
