What it is
Carbon fibre reinforcement fabric for FRP reinforcement Kimitech CB 380 MTX Kimia. Key specifications: model Kimitech CB 380 MTX, line Kimitech, CVT certification CVT n° 405.
FRP and FRCM structural strengthening is a system of fibre fabrics, meshes and connectors, applied with resins or mortars, that increases the strength of beams, columns and masonry.
What it is for
Used for strengthening masonry and concrete structures and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Strengthening must be carried out to a design by a qualified engineer. Remove render and deteriorated material, repair the substrate and apply the primer; then apply the first coat of resin or mortar, lay the fabric or mesh taut and free of air bubbles and cover it with the second coat. Insert the connectors into clean holes filled with resin; handle resins and primers with gloves and safety glasses.
