What it is
Spirit level - MINI series Milwaukee. Key specifications: material Aluminium.
A torpedo level is a short, compact spirit level, often magnetic, for checking level, plumb and angles in tight spaces and on pipes, boxes and profiles.
What it is for
Used for installing building services and plant, for levelling surfaces and structures and for setting out and for assembly work.
How to use it
Place the level on the clean workpiece; magnetic models hold on their own to steel pipes and profiles, leaving your hands free. Use the V-groove in the base to centre the level on pipes and round bars. Read the vial by looking straight at it and check calibration by turning it through 180° on the same spot. Protect it from impacts and wipe off any metal filings picked up by the magnet.
