The air-supplied self-contained breathing apparatus is a device with a compressed air cylinder carried on the back, a pressure reducer and a mask, which supplies clean air independent of the surroundings, even where there is no oxygen or the air is saturated with fumes and gases.
What it is for
Used as personal protective equipment in hazardous work, for respiratory protection against dust, fumes and vapours and for workplace safety, as equipment required by the safety plan.
How to use it
Before use, check the cylinder pressure, the tightness of the circuit, the low-pressure alarm and the condition of the mask. Put it on after the required training, carry out the seal test and work in pairs or with an attendant outside. Leave the area when the reserve alarm sounds. After use, clean and disinfect it; periodic maintenance is a job for authorised personnel.
