What it is
This is the Unifix FPA anchor with an A4 stainless steel body and a hexagon head screw: an expansion metal anchor for heavy-duty fixings, fitted through the part to be fixed. As the screw is tightened, the body expands against the walls of the hole. Four sizes: 10x45 with M6x55 screw, 12x51 with M8x65, 14x60 with M10x80 and 18x75 with M12x100, for fixable thicknesses of 10, 14, 20 and 25 mm.
Heavy-duty fixings are steel or reinforced nylon anchors that carry high loads in concrete and solid masonry.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Drill with a bit of the specified diameter to the required depth, then clean the hole with a brush and blow-out pump. Insert the anchor through the part to be fixed, hammering it in if necessary, and tighten the nut with a torque wrench to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Observe the minimum edge distances and spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
