What it is
The 1-metre A2 stainless steel threaded rod by Bossong is an essential component of professional anchoring systems, designed to ensure secure fixings on mixed substrates such as concrete and masonry. Made of A2 stainless steel, it offers high corrosion resistance and operating versatility, suiting building, infrastructure and renovation settings. The standard 1-metre length allows custom cutting on site, optimising adaptation to specific project requirements.
Stainless threaded rod is stainless steel rod threaded along its entire length, used for tie rods and anchor fixings outdoors and in damp or aggressive environments.
What it is for
Used for chemical anchoring, where the load or edge distance rules out a mechanical anchor, for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated and for supporting pipework and ductwork.
How to use it
Cut to length and clean up the thread by running a nut over it. Fix with chemical anchor or in connectors and tighten with nuts and washers that are also stainless, to avoid galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. In marine or chloride-laden environments, A4 stainless is preferred over A2.
