What it is
Bossong CLS-B concrete screw with wide domed head, in zinc-plated steel, in 5 and 6 mm diameters. It is self-tapping: it is screwed into the hole and cuts its own thread in the concrete, without a plug. The wide head provides a larger bearing surface on the part being fixed. The same Bossong family includes the CLS with hexagonal head and the CLS-S with flat countersunk head.
A concrete screw is a screw anchor that is driven directly into the hole in concrete or masonry, cutting its own thread, without a plug.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Drill with a bit of the diameter specified for the screw to the required depth and clean the hole thoroughly. Drive the screw through the part being fixed with a spanner or impact driver until it is seated, without overtightening. Observe the edge distances and hole spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
