Impact driver 18V - Body only DeWalt DCF880NT-XJ

What it is

The DeWalt DCF880NT-XJ impact wrench with a 1/2" square drive is supplied as a bare tool, for those who already have batteries and chargers from the XR 18 V system. It delivers a maximum torque of 203 Nm with a no-load speed of up to 2300 rpm and an impact frequency of up to 2700 blows/min. With a length of 147 mm and a height of 190 mm, it is compact and suited to tightening nuts and bolts.

A square-drive impact wrench is a rotary impact tool, cordless or pneumatic, for tightening and loosening nuts and bolts with sockets.

What it is for

Used for repetitive screwdriving into wood, metal and plasterboard, where torque and consistency matter, for vehicle maintenance, in the workshop and on the road and for tightening nuts and bolts where torque must be accurate and repeatable.

How to use it

Fit an impact socket, tougher than standard sockets, securing it with the hog ring or detent pin of the drive. Select the mode or power setting, start the nut by hand and run the tool while keeping it in line. For bolts with a specified torque, such as wheels and structural connections, run them down with the impact wrench and finish with a torque wrench; pneumatic models require filtered, lubricated air.
